1. Introduction

These Terms and Conditions (“Agreement”) set forth the general terms and conditions governing your use of the icelandic.ai website (“Website”), any of its subdomains, and all associated products and services (collectively, “Services”).

This Agreement is a legally binding contract between you (“User”, “you”, or “your”) and Icelandic AI (Íslenskukennsla AI ehf) (“Icelandic AI”, “we”, “us”, or “our”), a company registered in Iceland under registration number 5311241460 and located at Kleppsvegi 28 105 Reykjavík.

By accessing and using our Website or Services, you agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions. If you do not agree, you must discontinue use immediately.

2. Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years old or have the consent of a parent or legal guardian to access or purchase from this Website. By using the Website and Services, you represent and warrant that you have the legal capacity to enter into this Agreement.

3. Digital Courses and Subscriptions

3.1. Course Access

Upon successful purchase, you receive digital access to the specific Icelandic AI course(s) or course bundle(s) purchased.
Access is granted for a fixed period of 12 months from the date of purchase, unless a different access period (such as lifetime access) is explicitly stated at the time of sale.

Access is granted strictly to a single, individual user. Each purchase entitles one natural person only to access the learning environment, course materials, community features, and related services.

Sharing login credentials, permitting access by another person, or otherwise allowing third parties to use your account is strictly prohibited.

Icelandic AI reserves the right to immediately suspend or permanently terminate access without refund where unauthorised use is detected. Where applicable, Icelandic AI further reserves the right to pursue civil remedies and/or criminal proceedings under Icelandic law.

3.2. Subscriptions and Renewals

Icelandic AI does not offer subscription products and does not operate an auto-renewing billing model. Each purchase is a one-time payment providing access for the specified 12-month period (or lifetime period where explicitly mentioned).

At the end of the access period, access to the purchased course(s) will automatically expire unless the User chooses to purchase a renewal or upgrade.

3.3. Expiry of Access

When the 12-month access period ends, the User will no longer be able to view or use any course content associated with that purchase unless they choose to repurchase or extend access where available.

Icelandic AI is not responsible for notifying Users of upcoming expiry dates unless otherwise specified.

3.4. Refund Policy

Due to the digital and instantly accessible nature of our products, all sales are final once access has been granted. In accordance with EU consumer law, by purchasing digital content and requesting immediate access, you expressly waive your right of withdrawal and any entitlement to a refund.

3.5. Acceptance of Terms

By purchasing any course, bundle, or digital product offered by Icelandic AI, you confirm that you have read, understood, and agreed to be bound by these Terms and Conditions in full.

Access to the learning environment, community, and course materials is conditional upon ongoing compliance with these Terms.

4. Billing and Payments

All prices are displayed in Icelandic krónur (ISK) or other currencies as indicated. Payments are processed securely through our approved payment partners. You agree to provide accurate billing details and authorise us to charge your chosen payment method for all purchases made.

We reserve the right to change pricing or refuse any order at our discretion. In the event of suspected fraud, we may request additional verification such as photo identification or proof of payment.

5. Account Responsibility

You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and restricting access to your devices. You agree to accept responsibility for all activities under your account.

We reserve the right to suspend, restrict, or permanently terminate accounts that engage in unauthorised sharing, abusive behaviour, misuse of content, or any other violation of these Terms, with or without notice and without refund.

6. Intellectual Property Rights

All content made available on the Website, within the learning management system (LMS), courses, and community platforms, including but not limited to text, videos, audio, graphics, exercises, assessments, software, and course materials, is the exclusive property of Icelandic AI (Íslenskukennsla AI ehf) or its licensors and is protected under Icelandic and international copyright and trademark laws.

You are granted a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to access and use the content solely for your personal learning purposes.

You may not copy, share, distribute, upload, transmit, sell, sublicense, lend, reproduce, modify, or otherwise make available any content or learning materials to any third party, whether for commercial or non-commercial purposes, without prior written consent from Icelandic AI.

Any attempt to do so constitutes a material breach of these Terms and may result in immediate termination of your account without refund, removal of access to all Services, and the pursuit of civil remedies and or criminal proceedings in accordance with the laws of Iceland.

7. Accuracy of Information

We strive to ensure that information on our Website is accurate and up to date. However, errors or omissions may occasionally occur. Icelandic AI reserves the right to correct, update, or modify information at any time without prior notice, including course availability, pricing, and descriptions.

8. Third-Party Links

Our Website may contain links to third-party websites or services not owned or controlled by Icelandic AI. We are not responsible for the content, policies, or practices of such third-party websites. Accessing them is at your own risk.

9. Prohibited Uses

You agree not to use our Website or Services:

• For any unlawful purpose or to solicit unlawful acts.
• To infringe upon our intellectual property or that of others.
• To harass, abuse, defame, or discriminate against others.
• To transmit malicious code or engage in hacking, scraping, or phishing.
• To reproduce or resell course materials.
• To interfere with or bypass Website security features.

Violation of these Terms may result in immediate suspension or termination of your access.

9.1. Community Standards and Conduct

Users participating in the Icelandic AI learning environment, community spaces, comments, discussions, or any interactive features must conduct themselves with mutual respect.

The following behaviour is strictly prohibited:

• Harassment, abuse, threats, or intimidation
• Racism, xenophobia, hate speech, or discriminatory behaviour
• Sexist, violent, or degrading language
• Any behaviour that disrupts learning or undermines community safety

Icelandic AI reserves the right to immediately suspend or permanently terminate any account that violates these standards, without prior notice and without refund.

10. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Icelandic AI (Íslenskukennsla AI ehf) and its officers, employees, affiliates, and partners shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use or inability to use the Website or Services.

Our total liability to you for any claim shall not exceed the total amount paid by you to us in the 30 days preceding the event giving rise to the claim.

11. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Icelandic AI (Íslenskukennsla AI ehf), its directors, employees, and affiliates from any claims, damages, liabilities, or expenses arising out of your breach of this Agreement or misuse of the Website or Services.

12. Data Protection and Privacy

Your personal data is handled in accordance with our Privacy Policy and in compliance with applicable data protection laws, including the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).

By using our Services, you consent to the collection and processing of your personal data as outlined in that policy.

13. Changes to This Agreement

We reserve the right to update or modify these Terms and Conditions at any time. Changes will take effect immediately upon posting on this page, with the updated date shown above. Continued use of the Website or Services after such updates constitutes your acceptance of the revised terms.

14. Changes to Services

Icelandic AI reserves the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue any part of the Website or Services, including courses, features, functionality, or access methods, at any time.

Where reasonably practicable, we will provide notice of material changes. Icelandic AI shall not be liable for any modification, suspension, or discontinuation of the Services.

15. Force Majeure

Icelandic AI shall not be liable for any failure or delay in performance resulting from events beyond its reasonable control, including but not limited to natural disasters, acts of government, war, labour disputes, power failures, or internet service disruptions.

16. Severability

If any provision of these Terms is found to be unlawful or unenforceable, that provision shall be severed and the remaining provisions shall remain in full force and effect.

17. Governing Law and Jurisdiction

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of Iceland. Any disputes arising under or in connection with this Agreement shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the District Court of Reykjavík (Héraðsdómur Reykjavíkur).
